After the fantastic success of Katie Shillaker (England & GB7s), Grace Clifford (Eng) Polly Roberts (Ire) and Jordan Hopkins (Wal) Burgess Hill Rugby Club’s International representation continues with 3 of our U15 boys attending the Atlantic Youth Touch Cup 2025 held in Limerick over the weekend.
Tommy Batchelor was part of the mixed U15 team who took bronze in their category beating Scotland 10-3 in their final match on Sunday.
In their group stages over the weekend Tommy and the team beat Scotland (10-5) China (12-4) and Cayman Islands (7-4) and lost against Wales (11-1). They then went on to beat Belgium 15-2 in the Quarter Final before loosing 8-5 to France in the Semi Final.
We also had Angus Glyn-Jones & Finn Brady representing the U15 boys. They were undefeated across the whole weekend taking the Gold medal Sunday afternoon.
Through their round robin group stages they beat Wales (9-5), Ireland (13-2), Lebanon (22-0), Wales (8-5), Ireland (12-4) and Lebanon (18-1) before winning 12-7 against Wales in the Final.
