U10s take on the Allianz Stadium

Adam Rezazadeh11 May - 12:45

Big Summer Kick off 2025

Burgess Hill under 10s were lucky to be selected by Harlequins to take part in the community half time game at Alliance Stadium (the arena formerly known as Twickenham) on Saturday 10th May.

Unfortunately only 12 players were permitted to take part, but those fortunate boys and girls had a great day at the Big Stoop where they also enjoyed some fantastic rugby with Harlequins beating Gloucester 38-19.

The players, along with 30-40 SAB supporters, were able to watch Feeder perform ‘Buck Rogers’ and enjoy watching the pros warming up before the big pre-game kick off.

Moments after the start of the game, the players made their way from their seats down to the designated meeting point to prepare for going on the pitch. Each and everyone of the players were buzzing with excitement and energy. Containing the energy was like trying to close a shaken up bottle of fizzy drink

BHRFC took to the field against Sutton & Epsom RFC for an 8 min, frantic and very noisy game of touch rugby.

As you would expect, they all came off the pitch super excited having played on the carpet of grass, which is world away to the dust bowl at Poveys close.

Thanks to Harlequin for inviting the Sussex All Blacks and all the supporters who came along.
