We apologise for some terrible Movember attempts tomorrow!

Tomorrow will bear witness to a very rare occurrence this season thus far, a home league fixture! After 2 months, and a postponement and a cancellation we host our first home league game of the season to Eastbourne 2s KO 2pm.

The men in black have been building towards this fixture against a top half of the table team with some excellent training sessions with great numbers. Coach Tutts has got the players developing their skills, fitness and game management and everyone is looking forward to putting it all into action on the field of play.

Numbers are building each week as "project reset" begins to gain momentum and we are looking forward to putting out a 2nd team soon alongside some further vets fixtures.

The 1s last outing was against Horsham BaBas who were a quality outfit that took time to breakdown. In the end the combined efforts of the pack and the game management of VC Chris Robson-Close proved to be the difference securing an 3-18 win.

Our squad tomorrow sees a first outing of the season for bullish Bailey Upton the son of BHRFC legend Ram Man. The Gava-Train / boy from Brazil comes onto the bench after 6 plus months of injury and we all look forward to seeing his wheels in action at some point in the proceedings.

Like all great things there are many unsung heroes involved in running our club and I just wanted to give a shout out to a few. Big thanks to Will from club sponsor the Top House Burgess Hill who is cooking again this Saturday. As a former top grade chef the boys have never had it so good! Another is Marcin our club physio whose Mr Miagi like skills to turn broken bodies back into players never ceases to amaze. Finally a thank you to the bar team of Pete and Nic who keep the beer flowing on match days and socials.

Right, in the words of Delia Smith, Let's be havin you!

Come one, come all tomorrow to support your men in black with a pint of the black stuff and an Autumn International on to boot. KO 2pm.
