Despite a cold start to Sunday morning, Burgess Hill U11's impressed with some red hot rugby at the Eastbourne tournament. If the plan was to delay the Burgess Hill team by closing part of the A27, they were unsuccessful as (most) parents were able to expertly navigate themselves to Eastbourne with plenty of time to spare.
With a few absentees, the U11's entered only one team into the tournament, that saw them play closely contested games against Uckfield, Shoreham, Crowborough, Hastings & Bexhill and Eastbourne.
Every game sees the U11's grow in confidence and ability, with them becoming more comfortable at moving the ball and exploiting the space against opposing team, whilst growing more familiar with the new U11 regulations
A big thank you to Eastbourne for a well organised tournament, and well done to everyone that player, you did your club proud. A great time had by all!
