U11s Day Tour

U11s Hit The Road

The U11s team ended the season with a day tour, travelling to Hemel Hempstead for the inaugural Loose Headz Future Stars Festival.

Transport was kindly provided by Burgess Hill Girls and so 16 players, plus family, hit the road early Sunday morning for the long journey around the M25. All the kids were kitted out in a tour T-shirts, kindly sponsored by Linsey Jupp and SelectaCarpet.

The festival was well organised and used a unique scoring system of points awarded for winning games and points for demonstrating the right ethos by players, coaches and spectators.

The level of competition was far higher than local Sussex festivals and some of the opposition were of a high calibre. Results on the pitch were not what was hoped, but the kids didn't give up despite the rock hard ground and enjoyed the novelty of a new festival location to end their mini's season. Due to match day timings, the team had to leave the festival a little early but enjoyed playing a large game of touch with both kids and adults taking part.

To conclude the day tour, the team stopped at Lazer World in Crawley for 2 games of lazer tag, loads of pizza and chips and then ended the day with the team awards presentation. Congratulations to Woody Daniel (Club Champion), Riley Rezazadeh (Most Improved), Bob McGuire & Josh Hooper (Players player) and Nicolas Flori (Coaches Player). U11s were also pleased to present Daisy Lowin-Roberts with the Grunter award, which is a junior wide award.
